Demonstrate the potentialities of various technologies recommend for adoption to maximize yield per unit time and area under different resource conditions.
Compile relevant & potential recommendations / packages of practices / expertise / skills / ideas / knowledge / innovations for their effective transfer to field and meaningful utilization.
To plan and conduct production oriented and need-based short and long duration training courses both on campus as well as off campus for various stake holders.
Organize Farm Science Clubs / Farmer Producer Organisations/ Farmers Field Schools in order to instigate young minds about specific temper and interest in agriculture and allied sciences and an urge to know scientific farming
Establish and maintain demonstrations units, prototypes, models and facilities for providing information and hands on work experience to trainees and dissemination of latest technologies among the needy visitors.
Provide practical training facilities to teachers and the students of vocational agriculture training for higher secondary schools, college students and other learners.
Provide added training facilities of the area for home making and nutrition education among rural communities, nurturing training facilities for rural cottage industries / handicrafts in collaboration with the concerned government departments and other organizations.
To implement all schemes of the ICAR & GOI and other related organizations which intend to strengthen the training and technology dissemination programmes as well as follow-up extension activities of the KVK.
To undertake on-farm testing of the technologies developed by the National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) in agriculture and allied fields for their suitability and modifications for constraints identified.
